About The Editor

Tamsin Marshall

Tamsin Marshall’s earliest discovery of beauty products was as a small child when she was busted rifling through her mother’s makeup bag trying each item on her face. At once. Her attempts to wear her mother’s Chanel No5 unnoticed were sadly misguided.

Fast forward twenty years when her passion for all things beauty coincided nicely with her career. She cut her beauty-writing teeth assisting the editor with the beauty pages on the Australian Women’s Weekly and (then called) Air New Zealand Magazine before landing her dream job as Fashion and Beauty editor at New Idea.

Over the past five years, Tamsin guesses she would have tried pretty much every new product launched, from eye cream to eye shadows and mascaras; but says you can never have too many different coloured lip glosses.

Beauty Goss is her new project to coincide with another exciting event - motherhood. Tamsin fears she’ll have her comeuppance once her daughter Coco discovers what treasures lie in her makeup bag. Until then she simply marvels at the fast healing qualities of her baby’s skin and wishes she could bottle infant collagen and elastin and bathe in it.
