Why do some nail polish colours look good on my friends but not on me?
Nadine Vorster from OPI says:
There is an old saying “You can always tell a lady by her hands”, this is very true. Always take good care of them.
When it comes to choosing a nail lacquer the limitless choice can be confusing!
You can base your selection on the following:
Season: When the weather heats up or cool down, so does your nails and fashion! Every season will have different nail lacquer colours as our fashion changes.
Summer and spring: soft and vibrant colours, for winter and fall seasons darker undertones, earthy and natural shades.
Skin Tone: The skin you’re matching is at least as large a consideration as the outfit you’re matching!
Fair complexion: blue-based colors, rose, pink and purple undertones.
Medium complexion: choose deep red or burgundy colours.
Olive or Bronze complexion: orange-reds, browns and gold.
Darker skin: stick to yellow-based shades, choose strong reds, plums and silver will look good on you.
Personality: Despite all these “rules,” don’t forget to be yourself! Be the real self and let that be reflected through what you use.
