Here are my favourites from the 2010 Grammy Awards and surprisingly they are all pretty much the same colour dress - a royal navy blue. But it’s not just the hot frock I’m admiring, it’s the whole package - hair, makeup, dress and shoes. And somehow these chicks have got a tick in each box!
Taylor Swift seems to do the loose bun hairstyle exceptionally well, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her hair razor straight. She reminds of an old school movie star - she’s so wholesome looking - she looks like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. I like the heavy black kohl on her upper lids with ruby red lips. Her skin looks amazing, but she does have age on her side after all.
Glee’s Lea Michele gets my first place vote - I love the combination of short, sexy cocktail dress with gorgeous hair and simple makeup. The overall effect is beautiful. She’s chosen eyes over lips - it’s hard to tell if the eyes are lined with navy kohl or black but whichever it is, it’s strong and sexy. Instead of a red lippie she’s chosen pink and it works a treat because it’s subtle.
Miley Cyrus’s eyes POP - her makeup mirrors Lea’s - smoking dark eyes, pink/nude lips, oodles of bronzer and no-fuss (but lots of work went into this no-fuss look) hair. I love her long, loose curls. At first glance I wasn’t too sure about her dress choice but I have to say it totally works on her. Her accessories match well too!
Poor old Britney… I just had to show you what she left the house in. I mean REALLY? Why didn’t her manager-slash-boyfriend stop her? Does he not read magazines? Ever? What on earth would make her think this was a good idea. Does she not know of any stylists in LA? The worst bit is that her face actually looks quite pretty, her makeup is nice - it’s not fashion-forward but it is lovely. She suits being a brunette and the brown smokey eye with nude lips is a winning look on her. So what on earth happened from the neck down?
