In true catwalk sense this beauty look is a little less wearable than some of the others due to it’s initial ‘washed out’ look. But you could adapt it to make it look great - just by adding a flush of colour to the cheeks and a pale pink/brown lipstick.
James Kaliardos explains that his inspiration was Jung’s ‘collective unconscious and polarization’ the girls apear spirit like, pale skinned and ghoulish.
He used MAC eyeshadow in Quarry applied under the eye around and up to the eyelid, diffused up to the brow using a MAC 213 brush. Layered over the Quarry he used Eye Shadow in Silver Ring and then pigment in Pink Opal to the outer brow bone to highlight.
Here’s where you won’t want to copy directly - he used MAC Pro Face and Body Foundation in White applied all over for a pale sheer finish (I suggest you use your own foundation perhaps with a luminating cream underneath like Strobe Cream for a dewy glow). He applied Eye Shadow in Quarry lightly washed across the jaw line to sculpt and contour. Then pigment in Kitchmas, pressed into the cheekbone to highlight.
Lipstick in Hipster applied all over the lip and then blotted before a coating of Lipstick in Dubonnet layered softly over the hipster focusing on the centre of the lip.
What we are seeing is a wash of colour over the eyelids - not always hard, graphic lines (although that definitely featured too). But it’s an interesting deviation away from last year’s 80s inspired bold, bright eyes that had everyone clamouring for their green and blue eyeshadows and bright pink lips.
