back to the 80s
November 13, 2009

It always surprises me greatly when I chat with those I think to be my peers but they’re clearly not because they don’t remember pivotal movies or programs from the past. Because they’re too young. That some, who were just a mere year or two younger than me hadn’t seen Dirty Dancing pained me. What? Like how on earth could you miss that? Or the Princess Bride? Or Labyrinth? Or Flashdance… or Fame… The Lost Boys… the list goes on.
Oh the 80s - that decade of excess. When Madonna was a virgin, Princess Diana had the fairytale wedding, the two Coreys (Hart and Haim) adorned every girls wall and Demi Moore was a rising star with the brat pack and without a heck of a lot of work done. Would Ashton have been born then? I digress. It was also when Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream came in this snazzy packaging… and to celebrate fashion’s fascination with that old decade, Elizabeth Arden has released these two products - 1980’s Celebration of the Decades Limited Edition Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, $37, and Lip Protectant, $39. They’re on the counter now. And worth getting to brighten up your makeup bag. Use the lip protectant under lipstick for a creamier viscosity or on its own as a balm.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is one of those iconic beauty products that just keeps on selling with relatively little changes made to the formulation. Unlike Demi Moore.
