Feeling Crafty?

Those clever clogs at M.A.C have unleashed yet another highly covetable makeup collection – Color Craft - with new shades in Mineralize Skinfinish, Mineralize Eye Shadows (1), Blush, Lipstick and LipGlass. All are themed with the craft idea – so the Skinfinish comes in a trio mosaic, the eye shadows have four colours to a compact creating a pinwheel look and the LipGlasses, (5), $NZ38, have a trio of colours swirled together to create a marble look (yet somehow the colour comes out a consistent shade so you don’t look too fruity).

Perfect for the approaching Spring season the eye colours, $NZ44, are warm and bright. Bronze, coral, gold and soft pink feature throughout the Mineralize Skinfinish compacts, $NZ68, the advantage of having three colours is that you can use different shades to highlight and contour the face. The lippies are fab and if you’re looking for that perfect coral shade you’ll find it with Made With Love (3) $NZ40.

The collection also introduces three new brushes: 131, $NZ88, a duo fibre powder/blush brush that is flat and tapered and best suited to use with Mineralize Skinfinish powders; 109 (2), $NZ90, a small contour brush for blending and 226, $NZ70, a small, tapered, blending brush to use with eyeshadows.

I asked Senior makeup artist Amber D what her favourite piece from the collection is – she said it is hard to pick just one but she loves the new Mineralize Skinfinish in particular Porcelain Pink (4) – a soft pink coral with gold veining.
