happy hair, red lips

I first took these photos to show you my happy healthy hair after a wash and dry at Stephen Marr using Sebastian products: Light shampoo and conditioner and Texturizer a ‘flexible bodyfying liquid gel’ that you apply to damp hair and either blow dry or let air dry. I have fine hair but LOTS of it which can give the appearance of thick hair with the added bonus of having flyaway tendencies. Awesome (typed in sarcastic font). When my hair is short - whoa watch it puff and fluff if not done properly (length gives it weight which makes it stay down).

Can you see the softness and shine? I tell you what my hair feels like silk - it’s amazing! And I didn’t even have the treatment (was running too late - long story but the mini-me was involved). I’m going back next week to get that (plus a trim - CAN’T wait).

Kate Murphy, a senior stylist at Stephen Marr with 8 years under her belt, has just been appointed the manager at the Ponsonby Stephen Marr salon and has just been invited to join the Sebastian team. She advised me to stop using the heavy moisturising products I always go for in the summer as it will weigh down my hair and instead prescribed the light range. It’s hydrating, but not heavy, and as it turns out it is exactly what my hair needed!

But after taking the first photo I thought, ‘geez I look a bit pale and washed out, I should really apply some gloss’. So I grabbed the first lippie that was within reach on my desk. Turned out to be the Lancome Color Fever Matte 151. Yes this brilliant red with blue undertones. I love red lipstick, I just don’t wear it often.
