Smell This: Lancome Hypnose Senses
December 10, 2009
Lancome’s newest fragrance member Hypnose Senses is a pretty summer scent that is light and playful yet also sexy and sweet. Pink peppercorns, mandarin, honey, rose and vanilla are the winning combination - so popular is this juice that since it appeared on counter (Oct 19) it has climbed to popularity (and sales) number 5 at Life Pharmacy. Pretty impressive when you consider it is new, and sits aside the likes of Chanel and Dior.
30ml EDP, $98; 50ml EDP, $125; 75ml EDP, $165.
We took the fragrance to the flower stand at the Cigale French Markets to see what others thought and here’s what they said:

Elspeth Malloch and Georgina Brett. It’s not as sweet as I’d expect - it’s a little bit like the original Chloe. It has a sweetness to it but also an older smell which must be woody notes. I’d wear it in the daytime. It does remind me of Coco Chanel. I can definitely smell fruit notes.
Julie-Anna Child - Light and floral, smells summery. It’s a good daytime fragrance. It’s quite pretty.
