It passed the hand test: the old beauty editor’s litmus - in this case drawing a line of colour on the back of the hand to see how it coped with the days activities. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Eye Pencil didn’t smudge, bleed or disappear. In fact it didn’t go until removed properly with cleanser. Which is good news since the delicate eye area doesn’t come into contact with as many things as the hand (one would hope). The kohl pencil has a creamy formula (thanks to silicone technology) so it goes on smoothly without tugging, I like to dot it along my lash line to make my lashes appear fuller. The colour applies in a dark line and stays dark - it has colour brilliance pigments which give the purest colour and intensity. It also has vitamin e and jojoba oil. I liked Onyx, a dark black (funnily enough), which is perfect for building a strong smokey eye - it blends and smudges well (there’s a smudger on the other end). But you might like one of the other colours: Coffee, Forest, Midnight Blue, Black Plum, Graphite and Bronze.
