birthday wishes

It’s my birthday this week (a boring number so won’t divulge) and it’s also the week that school starts - what a great present that always used to be. Still, I guess there were always friends around to share parties with, something that those in early January miss out on.
I always do the great ponder about life around this time. I reassess the past year, make plans for the following and tick things off my mental checklist. I’m still in one piece, I am lucky to have my dearest nearby and while I’d quite like a few more zeros in the bank, we’re doing ok. I have lots to be grateful for. Yet I can still be pretty bratty and wish for more. A lot more. But I guess that’s life.
Something I would like to do more of this year is give back or pay it forward as some call it. I’d like to help others and I need your help. Once a month I will send out a Wednesday Wish and will ask you to nominate someone who needs a lift. Maybe they need a new haircut? Some makeup advice? A massage? A manicure? A pedicure? Hair removal. Once a month you’ll get to help out a good friend and put them forward for a beauty treat and I’ll find the perfect person to help them. We’ll put a photo and short story about them and what they received and how they enjoyed it. It’s going to be fun!

A family member (can’t say who right now) has had a rough few years and has now discovered her husband is quite ill. She is a gorgeous lady and works so hard to protect her family, so it’s so sad that she feels she can’t do more over this recent development. She loves being pampered, so anything in that arena to help cheer her up (even for just a little while) would be so great!
My workmate! she has been doing a massive amount of work, huge hours, working weekends and skipping public holidays to get a special project of the ground. She is so dedicated and gets on with it, but because we are close, I know she is very tired and in need of some pampering! She’s the sort of girl who gives a lot of love and effort for other people, I thought it was time someone did it for her!
