Saving the Orangutans
August 20, 2009
The monkeys need our help! Trilogy are helping raise funds for the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, the world’s largest Orangutan rescue sanctuary, by giving $1 from every specially marked box of their divine Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, $22.90.
Blame it on Palm Oil and Paper - the poor monkeys are losing their rainforest in South East Asia; in fact according to the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) website there are fires burning in the Sabangau forests in Central Kalimantan jeopardising the lives of the estimated 8,000 wild orangutans living there. Another important Oranguatan habitat in Sumatra is about to be logged for pulp.
If you already boycott products with Palm Oil (thank goodness Cadbury wisely ditched it, even though they claimed it came from ethical sources), consider giving directly to BOS and help support kiwi cosmetic makers Trilogy by buying their cult product. It’s not only good for our fellow primates, it’s good for your skin.
Rosehip Oil is the perfect natural serum. Apply it to a cleansed face instead of a moisturiser at night or before adding a night cream. Rosehip contains antioxidants and essential fatty acids and will improve the look of fine lines. Basically it plumps up the skin. I’ve been wearing it at night and I’m loving it.
